First and foremost, Cousins is dedicated to the health and safety of our employees, subcontractors, visitors and the general public. Quite simply, we will not compromise on the safety of these people in the workplace on our sites. We constantly educate and train our employees to not only meet, but exceed the latest health and safety standards. As such we trust our employees to display attitudes and actions to encourage a safe working place.

Our core objective with health and safety in mind is to complete all projects in which were are involved with due regard to health and safety of all personnel involved, the safety of all visitors and without inconvenience, hazard or damage.

CC Cousins Employees are trained on various equipment used on our sites, including excavators, scissor lifts, loading shovels and dumpers.

All operatives have specialist Safety passport training for Petrol filling stations, along with Construction Skills Certification Scheme. CC Cousins continues with ongoing training for new and existing operatives.

CC Cousins are a member of the Safe Contractors Scheme part of the National Britannia Group and are audited annually to ensure that we are taking health and safety seriously and keeping up to date with new regulations.

Having met and exceeded the expectations of the BS EN 14001:2004 regulations, CC Cousins are committed to providing a greener and cleaner environment for everybody. We try to re-cycle and reuse all waste from our sites, where this is not possible, due care will be shown in respect of waste disposal in accordance with our guidelines and current legislation.

We constantly endeavour to minimise the environmental impact of our works and reduce, where possible, consumption of materials in all works, the effects of noise, dust, disruption and inconvenience to others and, where practicable, the level of pollution and harmful emissions.

Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007

CC Cousins extend from the initial concept of the building/ structure, through the different phases, including on-site work, until the project is complete and handed over to the client. With experience in dealing in the CDM 2007 Regulations, we have the right people in the right job at the right time to manage the risks on site. We are able to focus on effective planning and managing risk ensuring that the risks are managed and not the paperwork.
